Overview: Everyone knows the Golden Nugget as the gem of downtown. And we can thank Tim Poster and Tom Breitling, the dot com richies that bought the Nugget in 2003 and plunked $30 million into renovations. All this while filming the reality show—Casino. And it worked, the Nugget feels cool. Walking by the pool, makes you feel like you’ve walked onto a set of a movie from the 50s.

Price Range:
Upper Budget

Shows: Rotating legends like Tony Bennet, and comic “Downtown” Gordie Brown

Bars/Clubs: Ah just drink at the tables

Restaurants: Zax, Stefano’s, Lillie Langtry’s, Carson Street Cafe

Known for….
being the nicest hotel downtown.

The one thing…
This old school haunt isn’t without it’s modern efficiencies. There is a 24hour Starbucks in the corner with a patio where you can sit and walk the Fremont Street action while you sip your cappuccino.
