South Coast Hotel to Open December 22

Boyd Gaming announced today that its newest property, the South Coast Hotel and Casino, will open to the public next Thursday. Inspired by the architecture of Southern California cities, South Coast has characteristics reminiscent of the Mediterranean and Mission style design influences that can be seen up and down the Pacific coast. The first phase of the hotel will open with 1,350 rooms that are currently ready for reservations for stays from December 24 and beyond. South Coast is currently advertising a New Year’s Eve party and a NASCAR Nextel Cup package for March 2006.

Amenities will include a 16-screen Century Theatre movie complex, 64-lane bowling center, 600-seat theater, child-care facility, equestrian complex and a variety of restaurants. A pool, jacuzzi, spa and fitness center will open in Summer 2006. The South Coast Hotel is located on 60 acres at the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard.
