Get Ready For NASCAR Weekend in Vegas!

NASCAR Weekend in VegasThe lure of the racetrack is beckoning thousands of fans to Las Vegas this week to enjoy not one, but two NASCAR races. The Sam’s Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series race will be held Saturday, March 10, starting at noon. The big UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 is the next day, Sunday, March 11, starting at 1:30pm.

Both events at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway are almost sold out for next weekend. But even if you can’t score a ticket, there are several other race-related events that you can still attend. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get to rub elbows with the drivers themselves.

NASCAR Gets Set To Roll Into Vegas

Hear that rumble of engines? It’s only going to get louder this weekend when NASCAR comes to town for its annual event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS).

Qualifying for the UAW-Dodge 400 is Friday, February 29. Then Saturday, March 1, the Sam’s Town 300 will be run with ESPN2 airing the event live at starting at 1:30pm, local time. The big race, the 11th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series UAW-Dodge 400, will be aired live by the Fox Network starting at 1:30pm on Sunday, March 2nd.

Hard Rock Hosts UNLV Rebels Viewing Party

It’s been a while since the UNLV Rebels have landed a spot in the NCAA championship game. However as signs around Vegas can attest, the team has indeed made it into this year’s Sweet 16 playoff round. They are scheduled to go up against the Oregon Ducks this weekend.

NBA All-Star Weekend Events Plentiful

Las Vegas NBA All-Star Game logoWhat happens when you mix some of basketball’s greatest athletes with celebrity sports fans in Las Vegas? The NBA All-Star Weekend, that’s what. And what to do when not hitting the courts? Party it up, Vegas style.

All of the city’s hottest clubs are playing host to a nightly schedule of hot parties with incredible entertainment. For those that missed my earlier posts, here are the links to the Friday, Saturday and Sunday line-ups.

Basketball events are plentiful, too. Besides the actual NBA All-Star game, the other hard to find set of tickets is for the NBA All-Star Jam Session, on Friday, February 16.
