Vegas Celebs Once Again Populate Dancing With the Stars Roster

ABC News Examines Elvis in Vegas
There’s no denying the fact that the histories of Elvis and Vegas will be forever entwined. As proof, tomorrow (Tuesday, September 18th), the ABC network will air a two hour special entitled “Elvis: Viva Las Vegas” at 9pm (ET/PT).
The ABC News special, produced in cooperation with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., will examine how Vegas re-invented Elvis, at a time when critics didn’t think he had a chance, and how he in turn ushered in a new era for the city.

Travel Channel to Debut Two New Vegas Shows
Some of the most watched shows on The Travel Channel are about Vegas. They have covered everything from the gambling to where to stay and eat, and are a great primer for anything you could want to know about the city.
On August 26th, The Travel Channel is debuting two new Vegas shows, starting at 9pm ET/PT. The first, “More Las Vegas FAQs,” answers more questions about the city, including how to get the VIP treatment. It’s followed by “More Las Vegas Do’s and Don’ts,” which offers additional tips and tricks for making the most out of your visit.
To prime the viewer for these new shows, The Travel Channel is making the whole weekend all about Vegas. The network starts with “Las Vegas: FAQ” at 2pm ET/PT on Saturday, August 25th, ending at 9pm. It then resumes the Vegas coverage at 11am ET/PT on Sunday, running right up to the premiere of the three new shows.
During the weekend, Vegas.com will be running commercials and five of them will be submissions received during the “Direct the Next Vegas.Com-mercial Contest” run in conjunction with this year’s CineVegas Film Festival. Among them will be the winning spot by Brian Lazzaro, who will begin developing VEGAS.com’s next multimillion TV campaign later this year.

Today Show Visits The Venetian
Did you watch NBC’s Today Show yesterday morning, with Al Roker anchoring segments live from The Venetian? ESPN to Air 2007 WSOP Events Starting Tonight
ESPN will begin its coverage of the 2007 WSOP tonight, July 10th, starting with the first event, the $5,000 World Championship mixed hold ‘em, at 8pm et/pt. This game should be interesting to watch as it switches between Fixed Limit Hold Em and No Limit Hold Em rules.
ESPN will air the third event, the $1,500 no-imit hold ‘em, directly after, starting at 9pm et/pt.
The final table of the main event will air live on ESPN pay-per-view next Tuesday, July 17th, starting at 3pm et/pt. Cost for the PPV is $19.95 and you can order online or via your cable/satellite provider.

Muscular Dystrophy Telethon to Air Live From South Point Casino

Steven Zegrean, the New York-New York shooting suspect, was arraigned in court today. Bail was set at more than $4.6 million for the 51-year old Vegas resident, who police say staked out the casino, waiting for all children to leave before entering and opening fire. He reportedly did so in a suicide attempt to get police to shoot him. The judge set a preliminary hearing for July 24th at 9:30 am and Zegrean faces multiple charges including burglary while in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, attempted …

Real World Vegas Reunion Wraps Filming
Last month, the cast of MTV’s “Real World Las Vegas” got together to film a reunion mini-season for the network. Back home at their digs at the Palms, the seven original cast members caught up on each other’s lives and dished a lot of dirt on what it was like filming the original season.
This Saturday, May 19th, MTV will show that first Vegas season in its entirety during a “Real World Las Vegas” marathon. The event kicks off at noon with “Real World Reunited: Vegas Casting Special,” showing how the cast got back together, then continues through the entire original season of the Las Vegas cast.
