1969 – This was the year that Kirk Kerkorian built the International Hotel. At the time, this was the largest hotel in the world. A year later it became the Las Vegas Hilton, where both Elvis Presley and Barbara Streisand performed. Presley lived in the penthouse and performed there for the last eight years of his life.

Today the Las Vegas Hilton has a 100,000 square foot casino and the big acts are Barry Manilow and Wayne Newton.
