Roulette Lingo: “Outside Bet”

When playing roulette, the “Outside Bet” is when you place a bet outside of the single numbers box. For example, black or red, odds or evens, or any of the groupings of 12 numbers is an outside bet.

Roulette Lingo: “Inside Bet”

When playing roulette, the “Inside Bet” is when you bet on a single number or small combination of numbers on the inside of the table. As opposed to betting one of the outer bets on the table—like black or red.
