Harrah’s Total Rewards is the current version of what was originally, Total Gold. It started in 1997 and was the industry’s first national players rewards program. Here are some quick facts to get you familiar.
1. It’s FREE to sign up (like all casino comp/rewards programs). Just go to the Total Rewards desk at any of the 26 Harrah’s, Showboat, Rio or Harveys casino locations nationwide to get started.
2. There are three levels of membership with Harrah’s, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Everyone starts off as Gold, and then you can move up depending on your level of play. You need 4,000 credits to become part of the Platinum Tier, and 10,000 credits for Diamond status.
3. Everyone has the ability to earn cash and comps based on your play, but the difference of benefits at the different levels varies. The higher levels earn you FREE show tickets and FREE hotel stays or tournament entries.
4. How to earn credits: $5 of slot play = 1 base reward credit, $10 on video poker earns you 1 base reward credit. Table game play will depend on the type of game, average bet, and length of play.
5. You can check your balance any time online by going to “My Account” on the Harrah’s website.
6. You can get a Total Rewards Visa card and receive 1 reward credit for every $1 you spend, plus 2,500 Bonus Reward Credits just for using your card to make your first qualifying transaction.
7. Use the Harrah’s Reward Credit Calculator to figure out what you can receive with what points you’ve earned.
8. Your credits will not expire as long as you visit a Harrh’s casino every six months. If six months lapse, then the account will be zeroed out.
