Hotel Chatter Reviews the Vegas Sports Books

The spunkiest hotel site on the net has just reviewed a bunch of sports books and noted their top five—Letterman-style. “Top Five Las Vegas Hotel Sports Books” includes honest, and sometimes not so loving reviews of Vegas joints where you can place your bets. I agreed with them as they got closer to the top of their list—because if you haven’t sat in one of the yellow leather chairs at Wynn—you don’t know what you’re missing!

But I also felt that there were some missing from the list. I love the Bellagio Sports book for their booth seating. Sure, I don’t know what the play is like there, but the location is good and the bar is great. Again, great seats! Also, there should be some props for going to a sports book, old style. At the Plaza, they’re still writing up the spreads on the wall. A good local’s book is the Gold Coast where they serve 75cent hot dogs. And believe it or not, if you don’t want to give up gambling while you’re watching a game, check out the poker rooms. A lot of poker rooms have big plasma TVs surrounding their tables.

Back to Hotel Chatter’s picks, I’m not going to tell you who won the best sports book, but I agree!

#5: The Local Sports Bar
#4: The Underrated All-Star
#3: Willie Mays Hayes
#2: Rookie of the Year
#1: The Veteran wins again
