It’s Summer in the City! Pack your sun-block, don your sexiest swimsuit and get on out here to Vegas for a vacation you’ll never forget. There are heaps of summer specific activities to add to your holiday itinerary.
Friday night: Start your holiday off at the beach! Mandalay Bay is hosting their Concerts at the Beach, or if you’re on the wilder side and ready to dance, try The Beach Las Vegas, which was voted Best Nightclub from the 2005 the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas Readers Poll”. Review-Journal readers have also voted The Beach the Best Singles Bar for nine years running.
Saturday day: Take advantage of the Summer Sale on Golf Fees. Most of the top courses take $100 off their weekend rates, and go even lower during twilight hours. If Golf isn’t your thing, how about some climate-controlled indoor shopping? The Fashion Outlet Malls has more than 100 stores and boasts being air conditioned!
Saturday Lunch/Dinner: If the weather is nice and you feel like dining al fresco, Vegas has a good sampling of restaurants with outdoor patio dining. From French wine and Italian pastas by the lake, to casual eats by the Fashion Show Mall, to romantic fine cuisine with a view of the Bellagio fountains.
Saturday Night: Time to earn the right to say “What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas!” Here are some bars that let you drink under the stars.
Sunday Day: Before anything, make sure you rehydrate with lots of water, gatorade, or Vitamin Water’s “Rescue”. Then try a pool party for some rest in the sun, or if you’re still able to splurge, a shaded cabana. Here is a list of pool parties about town that you can attend without being a guest at the hotel.
**Jen’s Vegas Travel Tip**
Casinos can really freeze you out sometimes. You’re walking the Strip in the hot sun and then when you step inside a casino to gamble, it feels like you’ve walked into an igloo. During the dreaded heat of Summer, you might be aching for some extra cold. Try the Plaza, or the Mirage for high AC. To get away from the chill, try the Luxor. They have the best climate and air quality of any casino I’ve experienced.
