In the Early 1980’s, there was no band bigger than Journey, and the
band that began in San Francisco in 1973 had some of the biggest hits
of the early 1980’s including “Don’t Stop Believin,” still one of the
most played rock radio songs of all time. The band are back, albeit
in a slightly reincarnated form. The guitar, and keyboard players
remain 100% intact, with Ross Vallory, Neil Schon, and Jonathan Cain
handling the duties they did in the band’s heyday. Drummer Steve
Smith is gone, as is original singer Steve Perry. One good Steve
deserves another, however, so on vocals is current singer Steve
Augeri. Those who have seen the show marvel at how close Augeri comes
to matching Perry’s original vocals. So, if you are feeling
nostalgic, head down to the Aladdin on Friday August 5th.
