Las Vegas Motor Speedway: 2006 Season

The 2006 season at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway will get underway later this month with Nitro Blast-off preseason test sessions (Jan. 20-23) and NASCAR test sessions (Jan. 30 - Feb. 1). These practice runs kick off a packed schedule of events for area racing fans, who are especially excited about the upcoming UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400, to take place on March 12, 2006. The 1.5-mile superspeedway will host this NASCAR Weekend headliner event, which will begin at 1:40 p.m. Another popular race, the Sam’s Town 300, will take place on March 11 at 3:20 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale for NASCAR Weekend as well as the 2006 NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals, to be held April 6-9, 2006.
