Just get your marriage license ($55 cash only), and have someone perform the ceremony within the year. If you’re a resident of another country you’ll have to fill out extra paperwork and there will be $30 in additional fees. Divorcees getting married must make sure that their divorces are final and know the date of the final decree and city and state where it was granted.

Getting married on holidays such as Valentine’s Day or New Year’s might not end up as romantic as you’d hope. These are extremely popular, high traffic dates. This means higher prices for flights, hotels, and hours long lines at the chapel. Book a year in advance if you insist.
