As part of its weekly American Experience program, PBS recently ran an excellent two-part series on Las Vegas. The accompanying website is packed with informative pieces on the history, culture and people that have created this amazing desert oasis. Besides an in-depth look at the PBS film, the site features maps, a timeline and a collection of photographs and postcard images. A companion book to the film was released this month, documenting the colorful history of this outlandish and one-of-a-kind American city.
