In Pai Gow Poker, the Dragon bet is an extra hand that you can bet on after you’ve already seen your own cards. Bettors that play the “Dragon” either play it when they have a really good hand and can afford to lose, or when they have a really bad hand and they’re trying to make up for it. The cost to play the Dragon hand is at least the size of your main bet.
