No matter where you go, there you are. On camera, that is. Every casino monitors its patrons. Take a gander up at the ceiling and you will see surveillance video cameras, called “Eyes in the Sky,” hidden behind mirrors or dark smoky glass. Somewhere, in the deep recesses of the casino, is a room with people who are paid to watch the action. Not exactly Big Brother…but the goal is to deter cheating (by both the players and the dealers), spot trouble on the casino floor, and to make sure everything runs smoothly. To get an idea about the level of security in a casino, watch the TV show Las Vegas on NBC.
