Casino Lingo: “Past Posting”

“Past Posting” is a word for a type of cheating. It originated from racebook betting. Back in the day when race results were wired to off-track betting parlors, some bettors found ways to delay the feed and make a bet on a race after it had already finished. In recent years, it’s the roulette game that gets the past posters. One player distracts the dealer while signaling to another player what the winning number is. But don’t try it yourself, there’s no escaping the “Eye in the Sky.”
