In a craps game, a “Field Bet” is a one time bet that the next roll will be one of the numbers in the “Field Box.” The numbers in this box are 2,3,4,9,10,11, and12. All but the 2 and 12 pay even money. The 2 pays double, and the 12 pays triple. When the shooter rolls a 5, you might hear the dealer say “Five, no field five!”
