Race Book Lingo: “Daily Double”

You must rise and shine to play the “Daily Double.” As in most tracks, it is only applicable to the first two races. Much like an Exacta, the “Daily Double” allows you to pick the winners of the first two races. You can pick multiple horses in each race of a Daily Double, and the multiplier you have to pay is the number of horses you’ve picked in each race. For example, in a $5 Daily Double bet, if you select two horses in the first race, and two horses in the second race, your cost will be 2 x 2 = 4 x $5 = $20.00. Some tracks offer a Late Double, which is the last two races.
