Sports Book Lingo: “Teaser and Super Teaser”

A teaser bet is a multi-way sport bet where the point spreads or lines are “teased” one way or the other. For instance, if the point spread is Bears minus 7, and you play a 6 point teaser, you can have the Bears minus 1. For example, a three team parlay might pay you 6 to 1, but a three team teaser might only pay 3 to 1.

A “Super Teaser” is just as it sounds. The super teaser “teases” the line more than the regular teaser. For example, a regular teaser might “tease” the line four points, where a super teaser would “tease” it eight. Again, the pay out scale is adjusted where a five team teaser might pay you ten to one, a five team super teaser might only pay you six to one. For example, if you have the Bears minus 7, with a teaser you would get the Bears minus three, but with a super teaser you’ll get the Bears plus one.
