Motorcycle daredevil Robert “Evel” Knievel attempted to jump the row of fountains at Caesars Palace. On this fateful day, Dec. 31, 1967, Evel cleared the fountains but got smashed on the landing. He was unconcious for 29 days. 32 years later he married Crystal Kennedy at the site that gave him his fame. Since then Evel has been offered $150,000 for the helmet he wore during that jump, but keeps it in a vault at his bank.
