Vegas Parties for Fourth of July 2009 Weekend

As if the previous list of 4th of July fireworks and special events in Vegas wasn’t enough stuff to do this weekend, here are even more places that will help you celebrate America’s independence.

After all, who needs to watch the fireworks outside when you’ve got all of these great club parties and live music events happening:

Live Music Events/Concerts:

• El Cortez Hotel - Rock the Block features a line-up of bands headlined by Grammy-nominated Hoobastank. Free White Castle burgers for players all day, too.
  Date: July 4
  Tickets: $20

• New York-New York - Beer Bash on the Bridge weekend featuring performances by Boogie Nights, The Spazmatics and Phoenix. Drink unlimited beer from over 20 different brewers each night.
  Dates: July 3-5
  Tickets: $40 in advance per day/$95 for 3-day pass. $10 for access to bridge only (no free beer).

• Springs Preserve - The Las Vegas Philharmonic will be performing its annual Star Spangled Spectacular under the direction of conductor David Itkin. A cappella group Mosaic will also perform. Doors open at 6pm for this 8pm show.

  Tickets: $17.50 to $82.50

Club Events (expect cover charges between $20 and $30 per club):

• Azure Pool Club (at The Palazzo) - “Dancing with the Stars” dancers Karina Smirnoff and Makism Chmerkovskiy host starting at 1pm.

• Hawaiian Tropic Zone (at Planet Hollywood) - Katrina Darrell hosts and bikini-clad ladies drink free from midnight until 2am.
  Date: July 4

• Lavo Nightclub (at The Palazzo) - Basketball star LeBron James hosts Friday evening.
  Date: July 3

• McFadden’s Restaurant & Saloon (at the Rio) - Playmates Monica Leigh and Tiffany Selby host with $2 Apple Pie shots and Sangria, and $3 Pabst Blue Ribbon cans ($3??? For PBR??).
  Date: July 4

• The Palms Pool (at Palms Resort) - Ditch Friday 4th of July pool party.
  Date: July 3

• Risque (at Paris) - Girls Night Out featuring DJs KrisCut and Asia with open bar for all ladies from 10pm until 1am.
  Date: July 3 and 4

• Rockhouse Bar (at Imperial Palace) - Complimentary drinks for ladies who wear red on Friday, white on Saturday and blue on Sunday. Show valid military ID to get free admission and a complimentary first drink all weekend.
  Date: July 3 through 5

• Sapphire Pool (at the Rio) - Wicked Pictures adult film stars Jessica Drake, Kaylani Lei and Alektra Blue host this holiday pool party from 7pm - 10pm.
  Date: July 4

• Studio 54 (at MGM Grand) - Vivid Video adult film stars Monique Alexander, Sunny Leone, Meggan Mallone and Nikki Jayne host the evening.
  Date: July 4

• Tao Beach (at The Venetian) - Reality TV star Holly Madison (who also is currently starring in “Peepshow” at Planet Hollywood) hosts this week’s Sunset Sessions.

• Voodoo Lounge (at the Rio) - “Red, White & Voodoo” hosted by Playboy Playmate Jessie Preston on Friday and Olly Girl Holly Huddleston on Saturday
  Date: July 3 and 4
