This is definitely the weekend for boxing fans in Vegas, with not one but three huge televised events. I’ve already posted about the other two, both at the MGM Grand, but if you go just off-Strip, you’ll find the third.
On May 4, Pearl at the Palms will host the Showtime “ShoBox” telecast live, featuring a card set up by Goossen Tutor Promotions.
The main event will be USBA Heavyweight Champion “Fast” Eddie Chambers vs. Dominick “The Southern Disaster” Guinn in a 10-round battle for the belt. Chambers is undefeated at 28-0 with 16 KOs, while Guinn has a 28-4-1 record with 19 KOs.
Also on the card are another pair of unbeated heavyweights, Cristobal “The Nightmare” Arreola (19-0, 17 KOs) and Malik Scott (27-0, 10 KOs), in separate fights.
Tickets are priced at $50, $75 and $100, and are available at the Pearl at the Palms box office or via Ticketmaster. The event will air later on Showtime at 11pm ET/PT.
It’ll interesting to see what’s the bigger draw for the night — this or the Fiesta Boxeo event.

Gutted not to be out in Vegas for this weekend, should be great for all Boxing fans. Just have to catch whichever bits I can on the TV over here in London
