Gameworks

A great place for fun, for both adults and children, is Gameworks on the Strip, just north of the MGM Grand. This 47,000-square-foot complex houses a restaurant, bar, and high-tech entertainment center, and it is guaranteed that there is something for everyone.

The entertainment center is a brilliant collaboration of Sega and Unviersal Studios and offers the over 250 games, including some of the most up-to-date games currently available, as well as classics such as one of my favorites, Ms. Pac-Man. Traditional air hockey, pinball machines, and even a mechanic bull is available. And for the adrenaline junkies among us, there is a 75-foot-tall rock wall.

The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner, serving American comfort food. The bar is a great place to visit for a casual beer or for one of their signature martinis.

Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Went for games, stayed for drinks. My friends and I took a break from gambling at MGM and went to GameWorks right next door. This place is pretty cool. It’s got a great energy (probably from all the excited kids) and we kinda got caught up in how much there was to do when we realized that we’d been there for 3 hours. So, we had a quick bite to eat (try the ribs!) and a “few” drinks.

It’s a great place to go to escape the casinos and just chill.
