The Smith Center for Performing Arts

In other performing arts news, plans are moving forward to build The Smith Center for Performing Arts in downtown Las Vegas. The city council cast a unanimous vote last month to construct a world-class performing arts center, which is already named for Fred Smith, longtime Southern Nevada civic leader. Estimates say the cost to build the center will be approximately $300 million.
