It’s been a long climb to the top for comedian Carlos Mencia, but 2005 saw him break out big in his own tv show, “Mind of Mencia,” on the Comedy Central Network. Currently filming for a second season, the show is part stand-up, part skits and part “man-in-the-street” interaction. Season one of the show has just been released on dvd.
Most say Mencia’s strength is his stand-up routine and April finds Mencia making a live appearance for two shows at the House of Blues. Both shows are 21-and-over only, due to mature subjects and language.
