Ever since he shot to fame in the 80s on “Saturday Night Live,” Dennis Miller has been the wordsmith of comedy. Using references that veer from the obscure to pop culture, his wry observations use more multi-syllable words than a word-a-day calendar and a full Scrabble board combined. Never one to shy away from hot-button topics, Miller won five Emmy awards for his self-titled HBO series. He has also produced and starred in several comedy specials for the network, most recently “Dennis Miller: All In,” which was filmed in Las Vegas.
Miller returns to the scene of that special, the MGM Grand, for a five-night stand in mid-April. His material is sure to include plenty of barbs at politicians and celebrities and will probably not be family-friendly.
