Alkaline Trio To Rock The Joint

Chicago’s Alkaline Trio infuses their punk roots with touches of Sisters of Mercy and Depeche Mode for songs that are both catchy and haunting. Their last album, Crimson, was recently reissued as a double disc featuring rare demos and videos of hit singles “Mercy Me” and “Time To Waste.”

Dubbing the current trek “The Occult Roots of Alkaline Trio: Early Songs for Eerie People,” the band is promising to include a healthy dose of their older catalog songs in the show’s setlist. They are even allowing members of their fan club, Blood Pact, to vote on which classic gems to play.

Alkaline Trio brings their sound to The Joint at The Hard Rock at the end of March, with Florida’s indie-punk rockers Against Me! opening.
