It was an argument over the cover art for one of their cds that gave Staind their big break. Opening for Limp Bizkit, the group got into it with Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, but within an hour, had him singing the praises of their live show. Bolstered by his support, the band signed a major label deal and proceeded to top the charts with melodic hard rock hits like “It’s Been A While” and “Outside.” After a two-year break, Staind is back with their fifth cd, Chapter V, which features the current single and video hit, “Right Here.”
The band is also currently headlining the Jagermeister tour which will be making a stop at Rain @ the Palms on May 14. Opening will be Three Days Grace and Hurt. This show is 21-and-over due to the venue.
