As one of the reigning groups of Motown’s music royalty, The Temptations had a string of hits in th 60s that included “The Way You Do The Things You Do,” “Too Proud To Beg” and “Get Ready.” When the vocal quintet moved into the politically-charged 70s, they continued to have chart-topping hits with songs like “I Can’t Get Next To You” and “Papa Was a Rolling Stone.” With original member Otis Williams anchoring the lineup, The Temptations are touring for their 61st album, “Reflections,” and will be performing for three nights at The Stardust starting May 4.
Joining them onstage will be another of Motown’s supergroups, The Four Tops. Among their many smooth R&B hits are “Sugar Pie Honey Bunch,” “Reach Out” and “Baby I Need Your Lovin’”
