The Donnas to Rock the Hard Rock Pool

This week’s edition of the Friday night concert series at the Hard Rock pool features the hard rocking band, The Donnas.

The all-female quartet formed in eighth grade, but were relatively unknown until they were signed to Lookout! Records in 1998. Three years and four albums later, the band signed with Atlantic Records, where they scored a hit with their 2002 album and its raucous single, “Take It Off.”

The Donnas have recently parted ways with Atlantic Records and are currently concentrating on recording a new cd, even though they don’t have a deal with any label.

This Friday’s show also marks the fourteenth anniversary of the band’s first rehearsal in 1993, and they say they will be debuting tracks from their upcoming, as-yet-untitled cd.

Tickets for the show are a bargain at $20 and are available at the Hard Rock box office or via Ticketmaster.
