The Grand Canyon is about a five hour drive by car from Las Vegas. To get to the South Rim, take US 93 southeast through Boulder city and Kingman, Az. Then go east on SR 40 to Williams. From there you’ll find signs pointing you north on SR 64 and SR 180. Total trip is about 260 miles. The 275 mile trip to the North Rim is via 1-15, SR 9 east, and south on SR 89 at the Mount Carmel Junction. Most tourists go to the South Rim.
Cost: Cars are charged $20 to get into the park, and motorcylces are $10.
There are a bunch of travel groups that lead trips to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. Tours travel there by bus, helicopter, and small plane. Getting there by helicopter or plane takes 40 minutes.
