Crustaceans in the Desert Passage Shops at Aladdin

Everything you’d want in ambiance for a romantic night out. Now, I’m not saying this is the restaurant to propose in, you’d be better off crossing the street to the Belaggio fountains for that. But a nice night out with someone who is special to you? Absolutely. Crustaceans specializes in Euro Asian Cuisine and has sister restaurants in San Francisco and Beverly Hills. When I called to make reservations on a Sunday night, there was no problem getting in. The hostess asked me if it was a special occasion. I said, “No, but could we have a cozy table?” That was worth asking because she went out of her way to save us a private booth.

The Coconut Prawn appetizer with asian-citrus ginger marmelade ($10), and the Garlic noodle side dish were my favorites. We also really enjoyed our entrees, Szechuan Peppercorn Crusted Fillet of Beef with grilled red onion, yukon gold potato roesti and mache, brandy demi glace ($38), and the Five-spiced Roasted Pouisson with Israeli couscous and pea tendrils ($28).
