As much as I love to eat my way through Vegas, it seems the culinary scene expands faster than my stomach. So once a month, I like to highlight Vegas dining reviews and news from around the web.
Here’s a look at this month’s picks:
Esquire Magazine has the recipe for Michael Mina’s Butter-Poached Bone-In Top Loin with Truffled Macaroni and Cheese. Mina is the creative culinary mind behind Mandalay Bay’s StripSteak.
While at Esquire, I also spotted the recipe for Barbecue-Spice-Rubbed Skirt Steak with Charred Onions and JalapeƱos from Chef David Walzog of Wynn Las Vegas’ SW Steakhouse. Yum!!
I love whenever super-blogger John Chow visits Las Vegas, as he goes into great depth reviewing where he’s eaten on his trip. And the photos are the best part of each review. This month he visited Envy Steakhouse at the Renaissance Hotel and Chinois at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.
Meanwhile, over at Eating Las Vegas, John Curtas reviews both the Twin Creeks Steakhouse at the Silverado and the newly revamped Border Grill at Mandalay Bay. Delicious photos to go with these reviews, and I totally agree with him on the Border Grill’s beef brisket taquitos, too. They were a definite highlight of my meal at the restaurant.
There you go! Happy reading and bon appetite!
