Vegas One of the Top Ten Cities For Foodies

Vegas One of the Top Ten Cities For Foodies - Restaurant Guy SavoyForbes.com writer Shivani Vora lists her picks for the top ten cities for foodies (the term used to describe those who really love gourmet eating) in an article that published today online. Her number two choice was, of course, Las Vegas, and it ranked right behind New York City.

She gives nods to Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace and Firefly on Paradise, and rightly so. However, she might have wanted to do a little internet research, since Commander’s Palace at the former Desert Passage mall closed several months ago. Oh well, I guess two out of three isn’t bad.

I’m not surprised that the city placed so high on her list, though. Not only are there a plethora of world-famous chefs opening up restaurants up and down the Strip, but there are so many off-the-beaten-path eateries, like Firefly, too. And Vegas is also tops for the wide variety of ethnic cuisines available to foodies.

So if you enjoy dining out in Vegas, like I do, what are your favorite restaurants? Which places do you think make Vegas a foodie paradise?
