This may be called a children’s museum, but visitors of all ages can have a good time here. It’s 22,000 square-feet of interactive pavilions geared towards multiple age groups on the topics of art, science and the humanities. Spread out over two floors, there are more than 100 exhibits, including a science tower, Stufee (a 9-foot, 300-pound interactive doll), KKID radio station, hot air balloon demos, the new Desert Discovery exhibit (for children under 5), and a Whimsical Workshop.
**Jen’s Vegas Travel Tip** “Growing Up with the Berenstein Bears,†based on the children’s book series, is a limited-time exhibit and available now through September, 2005.
This is a good place to beat the heat during the summer, and you can spend hours here trying to see all the exhibits. Plan on bringing a picnic lunch, or buying lunch at the onsite restaurant to break up the day and give you a rest halfway through.
Hours: Tuesday – Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. September through May; 7 days a week, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. June through August
