Though most people know his work through his paintings, Pablo Picasso was also famous for his work in another art form, ceramics.
In the late 1940s, he began working in that medium, creating artistic ceramic works in the south of France. His body of ceramic art runs twenty years and via an arrangement with Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, grandson of the artist, the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art is hosting an exhibit of some of Picasso’s most popular ceramics.
From May 25, 2007 through January 14, 2008, you can view 30 different pieces, such as the two pictured in this post, “Fish Undated, 1951″ and “Woman in a blue dress 1947-48.”
Tickets for the show, titled “Master’s Hands: Picasso’s Ceramics, Treasures from the Estate of Pablo Picasso,” are $17 per adult, $14 for Nevada residents and seniors over 65, and $12 for students. Audio guides are included in the admission price.
The Bellagio Gallery also offers an annual membership for $45, which includes unlimited admission for two, special invitations to gallery events and discounts in the Gallery Store.

The current exhibition, “Ansel Adams: America,” closes to the public on May 11 to make room for this new show.
