It’s almost 2006, but why not celebrate in old-school musical style over New Year’s Eve weekend in Las Vegas? Kenny Loggins will headline the Aladdin Theater next week after wrapping up a busy year, during which he released a new album with Jim Messina (former Buffalo Springfield member), almost 30 years after their 1976 breakup as a hit duo. Sittin’ in Again at the Santa Barbara Bowl, available in CD and DVD, captures a live concert performance in their hometown during their sold-out national reunion tour. PBS will air the Santa Barbara concert on TV this month, but you can check out Loggins live in Vegas along with the always entertaining Pointer Sisters, who are gearing up for a mini-tour of their own when they head to Belgium for a series of shows early next year.
