fremont.jpgHighlights of the New Year’s Eve festivities at the Fremont Street Experience include fireworks, live music, a laser show and a once-in-a-lifetime attempt to break the Guinness record for the World’s Largest Toast.

The toast will seek to break the current record of 10,000 by registering 12,000 ticketed toasters and providing each with a complimentary glass of wine from Beaulieu Vineyards to raise at exactly 11:50 p.m. Mayor Goodman will lead this final salute to the 100th birthday celebration of the city.

Bands performing on three stages at Fremont Street include Cheap Trick, Gin Blossoms and Spin Doctors. There will be continuous entertainment from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Additionally, a five-mile-long fireworks extravaganza, America’s Party: Las Vegas New Year 2006, will be launched from ten resort rooftops.

One $40 tickets buys access to all events and can be obtained from the Fremont Street website.
