Though not officially announced yet, actress/singer Bette Midler is considered to be the front-runner to take over The Colosseum at Caesars Palace when current occupant Celine Dion takes her leave in December.
The Divine Miss M is taking no chances and has been making the rounds of the Vegas show circuit recently to research the competition for the big ticket dollars on The Strip. With her husband Martin von Haselberg, her tour manager Marty Horn and famous choreographer Toni Basil (of “Mickey” song fame) in tow, Midler took in Ka at the MGM Grand. The next day, the group watched LOVE at the Mirage, even going backstage to meet the cast, as she had with Ka. She later took in the late show of Phantom of the Opera up the street at The Venetian.
If she does take up residence at Caesars Palace, I think Midler will be a welcome addition to the The Strip. She is a fabulous all-around entertainer who I’m sure will mix in a healthy dose of comedy in with her classic catalog of hit songs.

It’s good to see a legendary woman known as ” The Divine Miss M ” Bette Midler coming back to Las Vegas to do another show again but this time a whole lot different from her other one I’m sure of . Perhaps maybe we will see another side of Bette that we never seen before however though it seems fans from across the entire world will be looking forward for what this remarkable woman can deliver and we can be sure it will become a spectacular event that no one can’t provide ever in the history of divas ! For some many divas have come deep and far distance to experience their own life time to become legendary but there’s only one who can step up onto the plate and could bring any film, television show and best of all music onto the stage better than this woman right here ! Ya’ll ready to get this party started ? Ladies and gentlemen for your singing pleasure let’s bring out a legendary woman who don’t need any introduction what so ever ” The Divine Miss M ” Bette Midler herself !
