Manilow Welcomes Secada Onstage

Fans who attended Barry Manilow’s hit show at the Las Vegas Hilton on Saturday night witnessed a surprise event. Grammy Award-winning singer Jon Secada joined the legendary singer/songwriter onstage for a duet of Manilow’s Latin-influenced hit “Copacabana!”

Secada, who was discovered by Gloria Estefan and went on to have many Latin and Pop hits such as “Just Another Day,” stopped by the show and was asked to join Manilow for the duet. Secada is soon to be on his way to Argentina where he will be a judge on Latin America Idol.

Manilow’s “Music and Passion” show recently celebrated its one-year anniversary with an announcement that the contract had been extended until 2008. Manilow appears at the Las Vegas Hilton four nights a week.
