I took a chance on a rumor that the spa at the Aladdin was nice and departed from my natural draw to the spas at Bellagio and Caesars Palace. Aladdin has an Arabian Nights theme, and this is carried over to the privately owned Elemis. I feared that the desert mystique decor would be tacky an overdone, but I was pleased to be set straight . Elemis is a classy, intimate spa with a tasteful interetior and polite staff. It is anything but cheap. There are plenty of treatments to choose from, and I never felt crowded out of their space or that it was time for me to make room for others. The main room has an elevated circular Jacuzzi with four lounge chairs, with a steam room and sauna off to the side. Elemis provides lockers, robes, shoes, limitless towels, and product in the showers and dressing area. Use of the fitness room is also included with treatment packages or $25 day passes.
Unique therapy treatments include:
La Therapie Oxygen Lifting Facial 50 min/$110
Hawaiian Wave Four Hand Massage 50 min/$200
Nurturing Massage for Mother-To-Be 50 min/$120
Couples Massage 50 min/$200; 80 min/$300
Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow 25 min/$65 add on to massage
Caveat: The cozy nature of this spa makes it ideal for women traveling alone or with a friend. Visting Elemis in a group would ruin the atmosphere.
More on Elemis: “Elemis is politically responsible and constantly researches innovative ways to package its products with minimal environmental impact. We do not use wood from endangered forests to create our packaging or promotional literature, but instead source it from companies that provide the pulp from tree farms that are grown specifically for the paper industry.”
