Nightlife at Excalibur Hotel and Casino

The fact of the matter is that Excalibur Hotel and Casino is not known for its nightlife, primarily because the resort doesn’t have a nightclub of its own. Nonetheless, Excalibur does deliver some entertainment once the sun goes down.

Shows

Thunder From Down Under

The only late night Las Vegas show at Excalibur is the Thunder From Down Under, which was voted the best male strip show in Las Vegas in 2009 by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. This is one that the ladies will enjoy (though men are welcome as well). Considered some of the hottest men in Las Vegas, the Thunder From Down Under comes straight from Australia and is fun entertainment for a bachelorette party or a long weekend with the girls.

Shows start at 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. General admission is $40.95 (plus tax). VIP seating is $50.95 (plus tax). Guests must be 18 or older, and those between 18 and 20 must be accompanied by an adult.

Live Music

What Excalibur lacks in nightclubs, it makes up in live music. Upbeat and energized or smooth and sultry, the choice is yours.

Octane Lounge

Open on the weekends and select weeknights, Octane Lounge is the place to go for live bands or DJs. There isn’t much to Octane Lounge if you see it during the day, but at night it packs in people looking for live entertainment. Guests must be 21 or older.

The Lounge

If you’re looking for something more laid back, perhaps a place to enjoy a glass of wine after a romantic evening, then check out The Lounge. Located on the casino floor, The Lounge is open at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday nights and at 9:30 p.m. every other night of the week.

Dining

Dick’s Last Resort

Who cares if you chew with your mouth open at Dick’s Last Resort? Packed with sassy wait staff, perfect late-night nosh, several flavors of daiquiris and the occasional live band, this restaurant is as much about food as it is about fun. Doors open for lunch and stay open late into the night.

Sherwood Forest Café

If you’re slipping back to your hotel after a night of hitting up the nightclubs elsewhere on the Strip or need to a little something after an evening at Octane Lounge, grab a bite to eat at Sherwood Forest Cafe. Located on the casino level, the cafe offers standard fare, including burgers, pancakes and sandwiches. Ask about breakfast specials, happy hour discounts and late night promos. Open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
