Things to Do at Luxor Las Vegas

People seek out Luxor Las Vegas for its happening nightlife and selection of entertainment, but there are plenty of things to do at the resort around the clock. Known in particular for its educational and interesting exhibitions, Luxor also offers ways to relax and escape the hectic Las Vegas scene.

Exhibitions

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition

If you liked the movie Titanic or you are fascinated with the tragic end of the “ship of dreams,” then you might be interested in checking out Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. The exhibit features numerous items from the Titanic (which sank in the north Atlantic in 1912) including luggage, floor tiles, a window and an unopened bottle of champagne. It also features a recreation of the grand staircase and promenade deck (made more authentic by chilly temperatures).

The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. General admission is $28.00 for adults, $26.00 for seniors, $25.00 for locals with a valid ID, $21.00 for children 4-12 years old and free for children under 3 years old.

BODIES…The Exhibition

BODIES…The Exhibition is an educational and interactive experience showcasing 13 full bodies and more than 260 organs and partial body specimens. The exhibit offers a thorough explanation of the skeletal, muscular, respiratory and circulatory systems, and visitors can view respectfully dissected bodies that would otherwise only ever be seen inside an anatomy lab. These specimens offer an inside look at what unhealthy habits, such as overeating and lack of exercise, can do to the body. Though this exhibit is educational and can be interesting for children, it is a quiet exhibit where people respectfully observe the displays.

The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. General admission is $32.00 for adults, $30.00 for seniors, $29.00 for locals with a valid ID, $24.00 for children 4-12 years old and free for children under 3 years old.
