The Grand Sumo tournament returns to Las Vegas after a 20-year absence. Included as a part of the Centennial Celebrations, 42 of the hightest level sumo atheles (called Makuuchi Rikishi) will come to the Mandalay Bay for three days of sumo wrestling. This sport is steeped in 1500 years of tradition and can be traced back to ancient Shinto rituals. The current Grand Champion is Yokozuna who was born in Mongolia. During the three days, there will be a champion named each day, and a Grand Champion crowned on the final day of the tournament.
