Fine art lovers and tapped-out gamblers alike will appreciate that there is an acclaimed art museum in Las Vegas. Located about 8 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip, about half way to Red Rock Canyon, the Las Vegas Art Museum is a legit culture stop in a city known for almost everything else.
The museum has a permanent collection and various temporary exhibitions that mostly specialize in contemporary and modern art. Recent exhibitions have featured Roy Lichtenstein’s prints, an exhibition of models by the architect Frank Gehry, and the three-dimensional paintings of Kaz Oshiro.

Free tours
Free tours are given every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Free family tours can also be arranged by contacting them through their official Web site. The entire family can enter on a fixed admission fee of $7 if you arrange a family tour in advance.
Other art museums in Las Vegas
The Fine Art Gallery in the Bellagio hotel has a serious and expensive collection and an entry fee of $17 for adults to go along with it.
The Venetian Hotel also has several fine art galleries in addition to its Guggenheim Hermitage Museum featuring various masters for an admission price of $15 for adults.
