Stratosphere: Coaster News & New Year’s Eve

strat.jpgThe Stratosphere announced this week that it will be closing its famous roof-top rollercoaster. Officials say they are getting rid of the ride, which has been in operation since the hotel opened on April 29, 1996, to make room for a new one that will join the other two existing rides still in operation at 900-feet up.

Despite the fact that this popular thrill ride is closing, visitors to Vegas can still get wild on “another level” atop the Stratosphere all year long, and especially this coming weekend. Celebrate New Year’s Eve Stratosphere style at one of several exciting parties at the hotel, located at the Indoor Observation Deck, the Pool, the Top of the World restaurant or Club 360 for After Hours. The hottest parties and most spectacular views of fireworks along the Strip are sure to make this a New Year’s celebration to remember.
