Blue October at House of Blues

blueoctober.jpgWhen it comes to second chances, Blue October knows the subject well. The rock band was signed to Universal Records in 2000 after their first independent album created a buzz in their homestate of Texas. Unfortunately, the album released on Universal didn’t sell as well as the label would have liked and the band was dropped.

They forged on and released another independent album, which did well enough to have Universal come knocking with a second contract. You would think the band would be wary of signing with the label again, but sign they did, and earlier this month saw their fourth album, Foiled, hit the stores.

Blue October is touring in support of this new release and will play at the House of Blues with UK band People In Planes and California’s Bril in tow. This is an early all-ages low-dough show.
