Ron Keel Rocks The Tailspin

Ron KeelVery few artists go from heavy metal to country and back, but Ron Keel has done just that. He got his start fronting such popular 80s hair bands as Keel, Steeler, Saber Tiger, and Fair Game. During the heights of his rock success, he toured with bands like Aerosmith and Bon Jovi, and also charted with songs like “The Right To Rock” and “Because The Night.”

In the late 90s, he moved to Nashville and ventured into country music. It wasn’t long before he was opening for the likes of Jo Dee Messina and Chris LeDoux. Nowadays, Keel’s sound can best be classified as southern rock, a good blending of his previous careers.

His April 15 show at The Tailspin will run the breadth of his musical career, with healthy doses of Keel, Steeler and his most recent band, IronHorse.
