The Palms To Record Concerts For Sale on iTunes

The Pearl at The Palms Las VegasThe Palms will extend the reach of its new concert venue, The Pearl, with a new deal made with the online music service iTunes.

“Live From Las Vegas at The Palms” will feature exclusive live audio and video recordings, including concerts as well as behind-the-scenes action and interviews with the musicians. Each edition of the series is expected to be made available for a downloadable purchase within 2-3 weeks of the event.

The Pearl, the brand new $80 million concert theater at The Palms, will be christened with its first show by Grammy-winning rockers Evanescence this Saturday (March 17). Their show will be the first event in the iTunes series.

“We are thrilled to offer live performances from GRAMMY-winning artists such as Evanescence at The Pearl on the iTunes Store,” said Palms owner George Maloof said in a statement. “Not only is The Pearl the most stunning concert venue in the country, but it’s the first major live music venue to be built from the ground up with iTunes in mind.”

This sounds like an exciting new way to not only relive a great concert experience at The Palms, but to also enjoy it if you can’t actually make the show.

What do you think? Is this something you’d check out on iTunes?
