Vegas Dining Reviews Around the Web

With the wealth and depth of restaurants available to the hungry denizens of Las Vegas, it’s almost impossible to visit them all. Not to mention, everyone’s taste is different, so it’s possible to get different reviews for the same restaurant.

Here are a few of the better reviews we’ve spotted around the web of some of best places to eat around Vegas. Prepare to drool…

Over at MySpace, Kevin has dedicated his blog to reviewing restaurants he’s visited, and he does so with great detail. Among his catalog of reviews are recent visits to two Vegas restaurants where it’s easy to drop several hundred dollars per person…and that’s before you add on the wine and other drinks.

So if you’re on a limited budget, head on over and live vicariously through Kevin’s photo-laden reviews of February 2008 visits to Picasso at the Bellagio and to Joel Robuchon at MGM Grand, where after partaking of the 16-course tasting menu and wine, the final bill for three came to just under $2000.

Meanwhile, online dot com mogul John Chow has been in Vegas several times this year to partake in various conventions and conferences and uses it as an excuse to dine and blog about it. Good thing he does because he has captured some truly great meals in words and photos.

Last month, he visited the recently opened RUB BBQ at The Rio, and in January he raved about dinner at the Envy Steakhouse at the Renaissance Hotel. Is it just me or does the steak in his Envy photos look like it’s in the shape of Africa?

Next, it’s over to The Venetian for a double-teaming of Mario Batali-flavored reviews. First, the Fro Fro Blog visits the B&B Ristorante and raves about the meal with photos that also include a trip to the bathroom.

Then Restaurant Review World visits Batali’s Enoteca San Marco, but was decidedly less enthusiastic about it. I have to admit that I am puzzled about the cracker thing, too.

Finally, on the lower end of pricing spectrum, the adventurous palattes at VegasTripping decided to take a trip downtown recently and take the Golden Gate’s famous 99-cent shrimp cocktail for a spin. They even decided to shoot a video of it…

The final verdict? They proclaim it the best deal in town.
